As a scientist with college degree in Astronomy, minor in Physics and Mathematics, I was appalled to find folks telling outright falsities and presenting bad science to bolster suspicion of our known accepted reality - that the Earth is a beautiful blue globe.

This blog clearly shows scientific proofs that debunk everything that flat Earth proponents claim.  Here we also expose the comments those YouTube video channels delete, because they don't want you to see them.

The Earth is not flat.  That claim is a conspiracy theory perpetrated by ignorant people who have ulterior personal motives and agendas.

The Earth is a beautiful blue spheroid globe spinning on an axis 23.5° once each day, and orbiting the Sun every 365.25 days.

"This flight went significantly south.  In fact it reached further south than 600 south latitude, it went to 620. 

As we know, the spacing between longitude reduces by the cosine of the latitude.  The cosine of 600 = 0.5.  So at 620 south latitude the spacing between the lines of longitude is less than half than what it is at the equator.  And that also means is that if we look at the 1,037 mph rotation at the equator, the speed of that will be less than half at 620 south latitude.

So what in fact occurs as the aircraft is flying west at 620 south latitude, is that it is crossing longitude faster than the movement of the Sun.  And therefore, for a short period of time on that flight, the Sun is not moving in the normal direction across the sky – it is moving in the opposite direction. And you'll see that when I play this video…

Now this is something I (Wolf6020) have experience personally on a flight from Italy Colorado in the USA.  We tracked north over London, Iceland, and tracked west at 650 north latitude.  During that time, I observed the Sun become stationary in the sky, and in fact start to rise in a westerly direction.  As soon as we turned south and started heading to lower latitudes the Sun resumes its normal movement across the sky.
