Introduction

Dear Visitors,                                                                                                                                    April 21, 2017

Thank you for stopping at FlatEarthLunacy.com

As a scientist with college degree in Astronomy, minor in Physics and Mathematics, I was appalled to find folks telling outright falsities and presenting bad science to bolster suspicion of our known accepted reality - that the Earth is a beautiful blue globe.

This blog clearly shows scientific proofs that debunk everything that flat Earth proponents claim.  Here we also expose the comments those YouTube video channels delete, because they don't want you to see them.

The Earth is not flat.  That claim is a conspiracy theory perpetrated by ignorant people who have ulterior personal motives and agendas.

The Earth is a beautiful blue spheroid globe spinning on an axis 23.5° once each day, and orbiting the Sun every 365.25 days.

FECORE Inc - Mechanical Gyro test

Dear FECORE Inc,

It's unfortunate that your lack of science understanding and susceptibility to conspiracy theories has led you down this wrong path.  The Earth is a beautiful blue globe spinning on axis once per day, and in revolution around the Sun.

When you believe in a conspiracy theory because you want it to be true, that's when you get into trouble.  You are currently on the wrong side of history.

Another FECORE Inc video, and they still don't have the gyro test right.

Update: July 19, 2019

Another FECORE Inc video, that still shows the gyro moving on a flat table.

Note: Although it is not polar aligned, where you would get the (10-min 1.840 earth rotation), a partial tangent component of that movement (on the flat table) is seen.

How to see the movement?

While the video is playing go to time mark 3:40, and jump ahead to time mark 5:20, and you will see the needle jump.
While the video is playing go to time mark 8:10, and jump ahead to time mark 10:15, and you will see the needle jump.

Gyro Fiber Optic Gyro Tests with Stopwatch 3 22 19 FECORE [MIRROR]

The first four tests are 1 minute 30 second tests, with the y axis pointed in each of the four cardinal directions. With these tests, the x and y axes' maximums and nulls are illustrated. These tests also show the nature of the registered z axis rotation, which should remain constant for each of the four tests. The yaw rotation for my latitude expected after 1.5 minutes is 0.245°. Two tests were high and two tests were low.

The last two tests are both one hour tests. One test has the gyro stationary, and the other test rotates the gyro CCW at 7.5°/hr. The tests are presented in parallel on the screen. The x and y axis readings are irrelevant for this test. We are testing z axis (yaw) readings for the tests.

For the stationary test, the z axis rotation for the globe model for my latitude is expected to be 15 x sine 40.87 = 9.81°. Tested yaw result was 8.45°.

The CCW rotation test registered 16.046° in one hour. Subtracting the measured stationary (aether) drift: 16.046° - 8.447° = 7.599° Thus, the measured result was 101.32% of the expected 7.5° CCW rotation.

In actual practice, the gyro's contribution to an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) is its accuracy in registering high velocity motion. The slow aether drift of the gyro is removed by the sensor fusion software. There are no accelerometers, or magnetometers, or GPS input in the tested device...and no sensor fusion combining the gyroscope data with those other sensor readings.
